Head to head
Compare two cities
Every comparison here is built from the same facts the city pages carry: population from GeoNames, position within each city’s own country, the great-circle distance between them, their time zones, and — once money is behind either — their live standing on the global board.
Any two cities in the catalogue can be compared. These are the matchups worth starting from; the rest are linked from the city pages themselves.

How comparisons are chosen
There are 1,636 published comparisons: cities adjacent in size, cities from the same country, each country’s capital against its largest city, and cities physically nearest one another. Any other pair of cities in the catalogue can still be compared — those pages work exactly the same way, they are simply not published to search engines, because 5,908 cities make 17 million pairs and almost none of them are a question anybody has.
