Four things get recorded here, and only when they genuinely happen: a city reaching #1, a city passing another city, a city crossing a round score, and the day the board opened. Each one gets its own dated page.
Nothing on this timeline is written in advance or filled in later. A moment exists because a payment cleared and the board changed.

Nothing has happened yet. No city has been backed, so the board has no standing, no overtakes and no milestones to record.
The first payment on any city in the catalogue opens the board, and that will be the first entry here.
What counts as a moment
Four kinds- The board opens
- Recorded once, for the first city ever backed. Before it there is no leaderboard to be on.
- New number one
- A city reaching #1 for the first time, whether by climbing to it or by entering the board straight into it. A city already at the top does not re-record this on every top-up.
- Overtake
- One city passing another. Rank is relative, so a city moving up always moves another city down — and the city that was passed lost no score, it was simply out-scored.
- Milestone
- A city crossing $100, $500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, $50,000 or $100,000 in total score. Each level is crossed once per city.
